Winter Field Day Contest Problems/User Issues

Howdy.

First let me say this might be sole operator error. So if so I apologize. Please let me know how i can adjust or fix.

  1. Is it possible to have a contest show Dupes over the entire contest time not the UTC day. While working winter field day after the new UTC day I wasn’t being informed about dupes as I typed in the callsign. Is it possible to dupe check for the entire contest timeline? Not just each UTC day.

2)The WRL app and online version seem to not allow more than one account logged in at the same time on the same wifi network. I had a club account on my laptop and my personal account on my iPad. One would log out the other.

  1. When multi ops are using the same “club” account rig control isn’t stable. It will not solely follow the radio connect to that laptop. If another op on the same account connected via internet inputs a different QSO frequency that overides the cat control. I know Cat control is still in beta so maybe this is being worked on.

  2. I know this probably a big request but integrating some way of seeing what other ops on the same account are running what band. So that you can quickly see who is operating on what band and which band might be free. Ie a feature that N3FJP logging software has.

@W4SFX Hey John,

  1. The dupe detection is setup to be contest wide not just UTC day (like for POTA). However we think there might have been an issues with the dupe detection not working as expected due to some users having a club call setup in their account and/or multiple operators. - We are looking into this and will push fixes.
  2. Operating on the same wifi network shouldn’t have any effect on being logged into the same account however we’ll take a look at this as well.
  3. We are aware of the issue with the cat control app and multiple ops working in tandem.
  4. We’ll see what we can do going forward.
