WPX Cabrillo files [In Progress]

I am one of the people who process the incoming logs for the recent CQ WPX contest. We are seeing a number of logs with formatting issues that show WRL as the source. Most of these logs do not have all of the sent and received information for each QSO line. We must change these logs to checklogs (they don’t get shown in the final score listings).

The Cabrillo file format is a very well accepted format for contest log submissions. You can see the spec for the WPX contest here: CQ WPX - Cabrillo Log Format

We also have an adif file converter for people who use general-purpose logging programs (like WRL).

I would be happy to review your Cabrillo file generator for accuracy if needed.

Correct log submissions save us a lot of work and enable your users to see their results in the listings.

Hi @K5ZD Randy, thanks so much for your message!

We will take a look at this right away - as WRL is the newest logger on the market, there are still a few improvements we need to make.

Official cabrillo support is in progress - @K4AZE can help with updates there.

In the meantime, we can make sure we get all the sent and received info and we appreciate the offer to help with checking the format!! Thanks so much!

More updates to come shortly!

@K5ZD Hey Randy, We just did some digging and pulled some data and found a handful users that it seems like they just didn’t enter any information in the contest exchange fields for whatever reason. I’ve put together an aggregated excel file with those callsigns and the fields that id like to cross reference against what your seeing on your end. If you could shoot me either a direct dm or an email (brad@worldradioleague.com) whenever you get a free minute to breathe of the callsigns your seeing problems with that would be a huge help in getting this sorted out.

Thanks & 73
