Export Contest logbook to Contest Site for Scoring

I am not sure, but once I have all my contacts in my logbook for a contest, do I need to upload that to ARRL or does it automatically update all my contacts to ARRL? I know with other programs you have to upload all those contacts to ARRL to make sure you get credit for that contest, but I’m not sure if this does it automatically and you don’t have to do that please help.N2SDB 73s

@N2SDB Hey Paul,

Yes you’ll always need to upload your logbook to the contests submission site. Below are instructions on how to do this.

The first thing you’ll want to do is go into your Field Day logbook and then goto your logbook settings (gear icon in the upper right hand corner). Then make sure you’ve filled out all the fields in there, including the contest settings at the bottom. Then click the save button.

Then you’ll want to export a Cabrillo log by going to ‘Logbooks’ then find your Field Day logbook and clicking/hovering over the three horizontal dots under the ‘Action’ and column and clicking ‘Export Cabrillo’. Then fill out the Cabrillo header information and scroll down to the bottom and click ‘Export Cabrillo’. Save the file.

Then goto Field Day Entry and click the ‘Go To Data Entry’ button. Fill out the information on this page and when you get to the section that says ‘Upload band/mode call list’ click the ‘choose file’ button and select your Cabrillo log you downloaded from WRL.

Then you’ll need to fill out the section called ‘Band/Mode QSO Breakdown’. We’ve provided this information in your logbook. You can goto your field day logbook in the WRL webapp (https://app.worldradioleague.com/) and then under the logging fields there is a button that says “View Scoring Breakdown”, then click the ‘Statistics’ tab and scroll down to the bottom and you’ll see a grid that mirrors the ARRL site. In WRL you can click each field and it will copy the data and allow you to paste it into the ARRL site so you dont have to manually type each one out.

After thats done just submit the form on the ARRL site and your all set. Let me know if you have any issues.

Thanks & 73
