I tried Cat control last night.
When WRL connects, it goes ptt key down.
I know on other software, etc, I’ve had RTS, DTR swapped.
Any way to get this changed?

@KC9IMA This is a new one. What do you com port settings look like? One thing i would try first would be the following:
Important Notes (For Windows Users):
Go to ‘Device Manager’ –> ‘Ports (COM & LPT)’ and right click on your COM port for your radio, then click ‘Properties’
Under the ‘Port Settings’ Tab, make sure you have set the baud rate under the ‘Bits Per Second’ drop down that you’ve set inside your radio settings (do this for both COM ports for your radio, if you have more than 1).
If you have a ‘Power Management’ Tab make sure to uncheck/disable the two options here that say “Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power” & “Allow this device to wake the computer”
Also if your radio has a cat time out timer setting make sure to set it to 100msec (instead of 10msec). Everything im seeing online about the TS-690s and hamlib shows that it will work so i’m not really sure right off the top of my head.
After checking/changing the above settings if you still have the same issue maybe try your theory and swap RTS/DTS and see if that makes any difference.
Thanks & 73

All of your recommended settings were correct in my windows settings.
My radio doesn’t have a time out timer setting. and I couldn’t find a way in wrl cat control software to modify the DTR/RTS settings. I’ll play around with hamlib settings outside of WRL to see if I can be of any help getting this fixed.
