When a POTA activator uploads their ADIF file to the POTA site can WRL count that as a conf.? I have been doing a lot of Hunting lately and don’t seem to see the conf. for the contact? Maybe the Activator only uses POTA and not QRZ?

Unfortunately we dont have the ability via the pota site to have this information and wouldn’t be able to use it for confirmations. Currently there are three ways for confirmations to happen in WRL. One is via a contact with another WRL user (the green check), the second is via a QRZ confirmation, where both users upload their logs to QRZ and QRZ confirms the contact (which is the Yellow Star), the third is via LOTW where both users upload their logs to LOTW and LOTW confirms the contact (which is the blue icon, i believe).
Yes I think your assumption is correct that the other callsign didn’t or isn’t upload their logs to QRZ but only to pota for the POTA credit.
Since you are a WRL member and have a QRZ subscription you can re-check for QRZ confirmations via the ‘re-check confirmations’ button inside of the QSO manager. Once you goto the QSO manager just select the ‘select all XXXXX QSO’s’ button then click the ‘re-check confirmations’ button. This will take some time but will hit the QRZ API and check for new confirmations and pull them into your logbook(s).
