Thanks for a great tool, I love this logbook and plan on using it for a Special Event station to be used for the centenary celebrations of the Royal Australian Corps of Signals in 2025

Hello, Tommy! My name is Andy. My GMRS callsign is WRWE744. The Technician license is pretty easy if you study well! Hope to see you on the air soon! 73, N0APX

HI Fred I’m Jose K06FII, I also let my Lic. expired and the way to get it back is by going through the process, of doing the Tech Lic. test first then General and Extra, I just did the Tech Exam and passed on 7 13, 2024, and on 8 3, 2024 I’ll be doing the general Exam at Van Nuys CA, they accept walk ins. have a nice day.

Thanks @N0APX! I’m poking around with EchoLink currently, since I don’t have a full rig. All I’ve got at the moment are a few Baofeng UV-5RA handhelds my buddy and I use when we caravan our RVs to stay in communication. I’m definitely open to ideas and suggestions for equipment that won’t break the bank and won’t break as soon as I lay a finger on it

Yeah, Echolink is a great tool. Are you wanting a VHF/UHF or HF rig to start with?

I’ve no idea, to be fair. Just starting out, not familiar with the equipment yet. And as yet, I’ve got just the Technician license so I know I’ve got some limits.

I totally understand! I personally started VHF/UHF operations with a technician license and a QYT KT8900D. It’s a very cheap, 25-watt radio, but I used it for my mobile rig for a while. The menus can be a bit cumbersome, but I like the radio.

Hello everyone. I’m new here and this is my 1st comment. I just got ā€œre-licensedā€ after I let it lapse about 10 yrs ago and gained my interest in the hobby again. Waiting to see what my new callsign will be. I want my old one back but I have to request it as a vanity call I’m being told. I was a Tech Plus for a long time. I passed the Tech and the General exam this time and I am so excited to finally go where I have never gone before. I have my work cut out for me creating my Shack in the garage. I have a Alinco DJ-MD5XLT handheld and a Yaesu FT-991A on the way. I look to making contact with many of you --73 to you all

Thank you very much Andy. Most of my equipment arrives tomorrow so I will be familiarizing myself with the bells and whistles my station until my new call shows up in the ULS.
