I work at a Junior High / High School (KC3SGV) where the students are interested in participating in more competitions. We are trying to figure out if WRL is the right logbook for our needs. In looking at WRL, we aren’t clear how we go about adding the “Class” field (School, Club, or Individual) for the School Club Roundup contest. The default template, in the template preview mode, shows Contest Exchange Field 1 and 2, but I’m not seeing how to activate them. Thank you!
@AC3DS Hey Drew,
Thank you for your interest! All contests need to be enrolled into by the account you’ll be using to patriciate in the contest with. You simply goto the contest page World Radio League and click the ‘Join For Free’ button. This will automatically create the contest logbook for you with the correct contest exchange fields needed for the contest. I typically only add the contests to the contest page about a month or two (sometimes three depending on how much time i have) out from the contest start date so If there is a specific contest that you want to patriciate in that is isn’t currently showing on the contest page, dont worry it will be added before the contest starts.
Before the contest starts just make sure you open up the contest logbook and enter your exchange for the contest in the ‘My Exchange’ field underneath the main logging fields.
I hope this helps

Brad, THANK YOU! That was very helpful. Your explanation of the “My Exchange” does lead to a different question. Because the students are switching operators on a fairly regular basis, does WRL have the ability to dynamically shift between operators and allow us to associate an operator with each contact?
Thank you!
@AC3DS Of course! In the screen recording I explain how to do this. Also, this applies for ALL logbooks across WRL not just for the contest logbooks. You can use this same functionality for POTA, etc
Let me know if you have any other questions! Happy to help
