I think the Cat 1 settings are the only ones that matter with the rig control , but here are all the settings g on my radio. These work on my Mac and my windows OS
Radio firmware is on Display V01-09 Main V0-1-12 DSP V01.07 and SDR is V01-06
I got a new MacBook Pro last week and was able to download the WRL Cat control to it just now and also connected to my radio.
Are you using the WRL Desktop app or the web browser?
@K6HJS The current cat control app does not work with the desktop app. The desktop app will have cat control built in natively in a future release (as the current desktop app is still very beta).
Yes. I’ve found that if the app is open at all, even in the background, the cat control won’t work on the web browser WRL. It will connect to the radio but will not control it. Same thing if you have the WRL open and logged in before opening the Cat Control.
I’m wondering if this is a similar feature/bug that I need to sort out in order to control my Yaesu FT710 via a Hamlib/RigCtrl radio server on my Mac.
The Yaesu is connected to my mac via the network, using the SCU-LAN10, which is connected to the Radio. Control of the radio from FT Control on the Mac is working perfectly.
Through FT Control, I can set up a Radio Server, which is on an IP address, and port 5001.
I’m not sure how I can select this IP based port in CAT Control (or now the WRL Desktop App) as it doesn’t show up as an option on the serial port list, and I can’t type in my own custom destination/source.
@VE6WOO There is not currently a way to connect to your radio via our cat control via the local network or over a TCP connection. This is something we will be adding in the future.
